Pass / Fail Inspection
WCHD uses a pass/conditional/fail inspection system. Inspectors evaluate food safety practices and assign one of three outcomes. A "Pass" indicates compliance with food safety standards. A "Conditional" status means violations were found that require corrective action within a specified timeframe. A "Fail" indicates critical violations posing an imminent health hazard, resulting in closure until corrections are verified. WCHD operates independently from the state DPBH.
