Portland Fire & Rescue covers Portland city proper. Gresham Fire & Emergency Services covers Gresham/East Multnomah. Clackamas Fire District #1 extends into southern Multnomah. Portland Title 31 Fire Regulations (31.20.110) require Certificate of Fitness for commercial cooking hood/ventilation system cleaning contractors. Portland Fire Marshal Office conducts commercial kitchen fire inspections.
Hood Cleaning Standard
NFPA 96 Table 12.4 sets the interval by what the kitchen cooks: monthly for solid fuel, quarterly for high-volume cooking, semiannually for moderate volume, annually for low-volume or seasonal cooking.
